Lip Blushing

Our approach to lip blushing is aimed to bring out the natural beauty of your lips. When needed, our technique can enhance the arc and shape of your lips as well. When applied correctly, adding lip color can correct asymmetry, add thickness, and clarity, and augment the lip size. Lip blushing is a great option to visually decrease deemphasizing fine lines on your lips and prevent lipstick from seeping into these areas.

Permanent Lip liner can be added very lightly for a more organic look, or heavily for a more emphatic look. Frequent requests ask for the image of a more pure lip shade. The shade is customed for each client individually to create a desired pigment that would work best for her/his skin and lips.

Facts about Lip Blushing

Have your lips had fillers?
No worries, you can still get a lip tattoo you just have to wait at least 4 weeks for your filler to heal before getting your lip color. You could also come in for your lip blush first, wait when it heals for 4 weeks and get fuller after.

Pain levels of our lip treatment.
We understand you may be hesitant to have your lips blushed, but do not worry. We apply a numbing cream before as well as throughout the procedure to make the procedure comfortable.

Do you use anti-aging products on your face?
You can still get lip blush you just have to discontinue products containing retinol, acids (glucolic, hydronic etc), or anything that causes your skin to peel 4 weeks before your appointment. No facials, laser, or chemical peels during that time also.

Choosing your perfect lip color:
The results of this procedure last up to 5 years so we want you to choose a color that you not only love but makes you feel confident. We have a multitude of shades - the colors pink, nude, red, peach, coral, burgundy, and many others.

The most requested choice of clients is a natural shade that suits any occasion, or season, and will complement any makeup look. We are educated on what’s known as the Permanent Makeup color theory, so if you are hesitant about what shade will suit you best.

1. Consult

  • The first thing is a consultation.
  • It is important so that you can show us the desired look and style you want to achieve
  • Make sure to inform us of any medical issues you may have. If you have any concerns, please contact us before booking.

2. Choosing the correct pigment and determining the shape.

  • Because you are going to have this lip shade for multiple years, we want you to feel confident in your choice. Luckily, we offer many pigments to choose from.
  • If desired, we can use implant more pigment to your lips (more lipstick effect) to create an effect of even fuller lips and can correct some minor imperfections of your lips. However, we do not recommend tattooing outside your lip line

3. Pre-numbing process

  • We will apply a 4% anesthetic to pre-numb the lips. We also add more anesthetic during the appointment.

4. Adding pigment

  • After numbing the lips, we start the process of implanting pigment into the top layer of the skin
  • We will be adding pigment by using the electric machine and a tiny nano needle to create many tiny dots.
  • To achieve the best result, the color must slowly build, this means it is going to take several passes.

AFTERCARE FOR LIPS

Day 1 (Day of procedure)

  • The only ointments you should use are grapeseed oil or Aquaphor. Apply a thin layer on your lips and keep it on for 3 weeks while your lips heal(please do not over-applied. Your skin needs to be able to brief through the ointment) It helps to prevent lips from getting dry.
  • You need to get rid of lymph from the surface of the skin. If you don’t you could worsen the scabbing. We will be sending you a pack of cotton rounds soaked in water and a special cosmetic soup. Use it to lightly wipe your lips every 30 minutes for 4 hours after your appointment.
  • If your lips may have dry lymph, before going to sleep wash your lips with warm water until the dry lymph is gone. Gently pat the area dry and slightly apply your moisturizer (the ointment part of your aftercare package)
  • Note that bruising and swelling may occur, and it is normal.
  • After day 1 do need to wipe your lips anymore

Before and healed lips 4 weeks after Lip Blush treatment
Lip Blush is significantly softer in color than what your lips will look like when freshly done. They will heal about 40-50% lighter and will have a natural and youthful color.

Days 1-7

  • Peeling and picking the scabs can cause loss of pigment and scars so make sure to avoid touching or picking your lips.
  • Avoid using your lips too much, when eating use a fork, and when drinking use a straw to limit the use of your lips.
  • Avoid water directly on lips unless you are washing them on day 1.
  • Limit sun exposure (do not sunbathe or use tanning beds.)
  • Avoid sports activities that may cause you excessive sweating.
  •
Only apply Aquaphor or Grapeseed oil.

Days 1-30

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a reliable sunscreen daily.
  • No sauna or swimming for 14 days.

LIP Blushing Healing Process

The most noticeable healing process of your lips takes about 7-12 days.

  • At first, the pigment will be more intense however during the first week, about 30- 50% of the color fades, and you may see slight scabbing. However, it will take full 4 weeks for the color to settle (after that time you can decide if you need to schedule your 8 weeks to touch up or if the color looks great and no additional appointment is needed)
  • To get the most pigment retention and prevent any negative symptoms you must follow all the tips we give you.
