Scar and Stretch Mark Camouflage
Scar and Stretch Marks Camouflage is a type of semi-permanent tattoo method used to visually decrease the look of scars by implanting small amounts of cosmetic ink into and around scarred skin. This technique does not only improve the look of scars but also aids in breaking down dense, fibrous texture and stimulating the body's production of collagen and elastin. We use this technique on slightly texture and colored scars.
For clients with contracture scars, we recommend a session of a microneedling scar therapy. This technique gives scars a chance to further break down the fibrous tissue before we camouflage the scar with pigments. (Please see below) Our goal is to have a flatter and more blended scar, not only improving its color.
We use a wide variety of highest quality pigments to pick a color that works best for our client’s skin tones. Most of the time we create a custom blend to achieve the best results. Many of our clients have skin damage from burns, mastectomies, surgeries, stretch marks, skin grafts, facelifts, or other causes.
Scar and Stretch Mark ink less Microneedling. Treating contracture scars using this technique offers
a promising therapeutic approach for scars varied texture and pigmentation. We utilize ultra fine nano needles to disrupt the dense fibers of the scar through controlled micro-injuries. These small injuries stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, leading to significant improvements in skin texture and pigmentation.
We use this treatment often for more tightened and pigmented scars as a relaxation therapy before we can proceed with our scar and stretch marks camouflage treatment.
It is recommended to wait between each treatment to allow skin to heal. Patients typically experience mild redness and swelling post-procedure, which resolves within a few days. Multiple sessions may be required depending on the scar's severity, but patients often notice noticeable improvements in scar texture and mobility after the first treatment.
Helping Breast Cancer Survivals. Scar camouflage and an areola tattooing are a profoundly impactful procedures for women who have undergone mastectomy or breast reconstruction due to cancer.
